History of the Association of Golf Courses of the Costa Blanca

The Association of Golf Courses of the Costa Blanca is a nonprofit making organisation created in 1992 initially for golf courses in the province of Alicante with the purpose of promoting golf practice and activities of its members, sharing experiences, promoting synergies of the different industries in the region and for the proper functioning of the Association itself.

Today the Association is made up of 17 golf courses, two of which are in the province of Valencia. It also has as collaborators with 8 of the top rated hotels in the Costa Blanca, several international tourist companies and tour operators specialising in this market sector.

We have the support of public institutions such as the Council of Alicante, the Tourist Board, Chamber of Commerce Alicante, Valencia Tourism Agency; with an aim to reach the maximum number of golfers, both nationally and internationally through the organisation of Fan Trips, Press Trips, Workshops etc. with tour operators specialised in this sport. We attend trade fairs, have qualified staff to work in the golf sector, we try to incorporate the culture of golf tourism and make understand local property development companies in the area. We are also members of IAGTO, the International Association of Golf Tour Operators.

The Costa Blanca, as a tourist destination, has ideal conditions to enjoy golf all year round with the lowest annual rainfall in Spain.  “The Costa Blanca: 3 experiences, one destination”. North, Centre and South. Visiting the Costa Blanca, you can live three different experiences because each of them offers different activities in the area: gastronomy, leisure, nature, culture, beaches to get you started….. Each journey will be a new sensation.
